33 Bath Street Leamington Spa CV31 3AF
Home of the highly popular Leamington Folk Club, Temperance has teamed up with CVFolk to bring together the true lynchpins of the local folk scene – the Folk Club organisers and resident acts from across the county, all under one roof.
The early evening concert features each organiser or their delegated regular artist taking turns to perform. It’s a chance to find out what’s happening on the lively and talent-packed folk circuit in this area and to enjoy the atmosphere, informality, and conviviality that each club has to offer.
Artists currently lined up are Dave Fry (Warwick Folk Club), Malc Gurnham & Gill Gilsenan (Bedworth Folk Club), Julie Neale (Tump Folk), Craig Sunderland (Wurzel Bush), The B Road (Lighthorne Golk), Geoff Veasey (Nuneaton Folk Club), Nowhere Club (Music Parlour), Michael Luntley (Sheep Dip Sessions), Colin Sullivan & Pete Winpenny (Stockton Folk Cub), Phil Benson & Pete McParland (The Elderly Brothers – Atherstone Folk Club) and our own Andi Wolf, resident of the Leamington Folk Club as MC. With each act playing a 15-minute set, the show starts at 6pm and admission is a mere £3.
We’re pleased to be working with CVFolk which was set up to promote, support and celebrate folk music across the CV postcode area. They stage events at Coventry’s Albany Theatre, Coventry MotoFest and Warwick Folk Festival and we look forward to continued collaboration with them.
