Mar 30 @ 11:00 am – 10:30 pm

Inspired by the late Stephen Boyer.

The event is all day for all ages. It starts 11am with children’s entertainment and activity, and runs until 10.30pm.

Entry is by donation (advance donations welcome – all funds for kids in the arts – Creative Experiences for Children in Memory of Stephen Boyer. Min p/p donation of £5 is suggested but people can give as much as they like, via Fundly or in cash via The Sydni Centre.

Keith Donnelly and Kevin Dempsey are the headliners but plenty of local talent have volunteered to perform. The late Steve Boyer was head of music for The RYTC, so the festival is to keep his spirit alive. We hope it’ll be an annual event.

A celebration of Lauren South‘s Tiny Boat – the debut album that’s been taking the folk world by storm!

A Celebratory Cruise on a Tiny Boat with Lauren South and guests.

No stranger to the Albany Theatre, widely-acclaimed singer and multi-instrumentalisfrom Rugby, Lauren South has launched a new album which – if you’ll pardon the cliché – is making a big splash in the folk world.

Recorded at Bill Bates’s studio in LeamingtonTiny Boat was released last November. It comprises 14 of Lauren’s superbly crafted songs written in awe of love and friendship, motherhood, the natural world and the night sky. Now one of the most talked about new albums by a new artist, it also features four amazing guest musicians, Ellie Gowers (vocals), John Parker (double bass), Keith Donnelly (guitar and vocals) and Ben Haines (percussion), all of whom will be joining her for this special concert in the Albany Theatre Foyer to celebrate the success of this landmark recording.

Lauren has also invited two wonderful support acts to perform on this all-star evening: Redhills singer and guitarist Maria Barham and acclaimed singer-songwriter Becky Syson.

Tickets are now available from the Box Office for £11.50 – don’t miss out on this musical voyage of a lifetime.

It might be a tiny boat, but it’s carrying an impressively large cargo!  Lauren South’s debut album is a delight.  A restorative for the jaded times we live in. John Barlass – At The Barrier
