CV Folk Freshers Workshop

Here’s your chance to gain and develop your music-making and performance skills under the guidance of leading musicians and performers from the folk circuit.

The latest in CVFolk’s series of monthly specialist workshops sees the welcome return of Lauren South at the Albany Theatre, Coventry with more of her fabulous guidance on fiddle playing for beginners and progressors.

Starting at the earlier time of 11am, the relaxed and friendly two-hour session will enable you to develop your expertise, inspired by some ace violin-playing in her live shows and drawing on her extensive experience as an instrumental tutor. So, if you’re a complete beginner or only have limited experience, why not come along and have a go at the fiddle? Bring your own if you can, although there will be a small number of instruments to borrow, and Lauren will get you playing by the end of the session. And if you attended her workshop last March, come and build on what you learned.

She will be hosting a number of workshops on the CVFolk programme, so watch out for follow-up dates.

Admission £5 – book in advance or bring a fiver with you, and a fiddle if you have one!
