CV Folk Freshers Workshop
Here’s your chance to gain and develop your music-making and performance skills under the guidance of leading musicians and performers from the folk circuit.
The latest in CVFolk’s series of monthly specialist workshops sees the first-time visit by Ewan Cameron (Rob Halligan’s Homeward Hie and Danger! Ceilidh Band) in the Albany Theatre‘s Clive Benfield Studio, Coventry with his expert guidance on playing the whistle as a folk instrument for beginners and improvers.
Starting 11am, the relaxed and friendly two-hour session will enable you to develop your own expertise on this deceptively simple instrument that can produce the most evocative and exciting melodies.
All welcome, but you will need to bring your own D whistle (high D or low).
Admission £8 (£5 for unwaged) – book in advance or bring the money with you on the day; the Box Office will be open.
