Schedule

Wes Finch and The Silver Wye – 4.00pm

The Silver Wye is the new vehicle for the songwriter Wes Finch as he takes a small step away from the folk leanings of previous work into a more electric and electronic field.

Accompanied in this by long-time collaborator percussionist Ben Haines and the magical double bass of John Parker (Nizlopi, Ward & Parker, Polly Paulsma etc) the trio will showcase songs from the debut Silver Wye EP, which can be found on Bandcamp, as well as newer material.

Abi Rowberry – 4.55pm

Talented young singer-songwriter and busker from Leamington!

Zoe Cure – 5.50pm

Singing about all things felt and invisible; from universal grief to personal joy and all the spaces between, Zoe Cure attempts to tether herself to the world through song at its most intimate and imperfect best.

After cultivating her sound in private for many years, the release of her debut single ‘Between the glass’ marks the result of a slow growth into confidence and a willingness to find strength in vulnerability.

Kevin Dempsey – 6.45pm

Kevin Dempsey has music in his soul. His multi-facetted career is testament to his talent as a guitarist, singer, songwriter, and record producer.

He is an icon of British folk music and has performed in some truly memorable line ups – as a member of bands such as Dando Shaft, Whippersnapper and Uiscedwr and in duos with great folk fiddlers, Dave Swarbrick, Joe Broughton, Chris Leslie and Peter Knight.

He toured America with Mary Black in 20… but has crossed the pond throughout his career to perform with other giants of music, Percy Sledge, The Marvelettes and Alice Coltraine.

His associations are numerous but it is as a solo performer that Kevin’s unique musical virtuosity and breadth are most evident. He will dazzle you with his dexterity, haunt you with a soulful melody, or simply play you a song you may never forget.
