Tim Edey & Enda McCabe @ Temperance Café
Dec 11 @ 7:00 pm – 11:00 pm

Tim and Enda are taking a break from their solo tours to come together for an evening of songs, stories, anarchy and mayhem not forgetting their great, great music.

Tim and Enda started playing together in the early 1990s. Tim played in Enda’s band for four years from when he was 14. Enda returned to Ireland in 1998 and Tim went on to become the star he is now. They still play together from time to time.

Tim has toured the world and recorded with most of the major names in Celtic/Contemporary roots music including; The Chieftains, Christy Moore, Sharon Shannon, Ross Ainslie, Natalie MacMaster, Donnell Leahy, Altan, Capercaillie, Brendan Power, Michael McGoldrick, Seamus Begley, Dougie Maclean, Kevin Burke, Liam O’Maonlai, The Barra MacNeills, JP Cormier, Shaun Davey, Session A9, Lunasa, Vinnie Kilduff , Mary Black, Session A9, Julie Fowlis, Frankie Gavin to name but a few…

Tim, now a name on the world stage in his own right after seventeen years of hard work, is rated by many to be one of the world’s finest ever Melodeon and Guitar players in the folk & contemporary scene today!

Originally from Broadstairs in Kent and of Irish descent. Tim honed his style learning from his father Richard a fine guitarist and listening to Ed Boyd, Steve Cooney and Django Reinhardt. He has lived in Ireland and now resides in Perthshire, Scotland where he is based with his family and tours all over the world.

Enda is back on the road again after a period of illness. He had been receiving dialysis treatment for almost seven years, however, he was blessed with a kidney transplant in October 2021.

He has performed in Ireland, England and Scotland since his return and has been well received throughout.

He performs solo in the main, but also works with other singers and musicians from time to time. Among those are Tim, Róisín El Safty, Johnny Connolly, Johnny Óg Connolly and a wonderful Japanese flute player Tomoyo Sugai to name but a few.

In a recent television interview Enda said: “I am so grateful to be able to tour once again, singing songs playing tunes and to have my life back.”

Enda will launch a his album, “Bin Éadair go Both Loiscthe (Howth to Spiddal)” at the Fleadh Cheoil in Mullingar, one of the largest traditional music festivals in Europe.
